Joann Peterson, The Haven's first Director of Education, passed away two years ago, on January 9 2007.
I wanted to mark the anniversary of her death with an opportunity to see her 'in action'. I watched the DVD 'Living in the Spirit of Love' that Andrew Best created for the celebration of her life, held at The Haven in June 2007. I loved hearing her speak again, seeing her face, and remembering her wisdom and kindness. There have been many occasions in the last two years when I have been reminded of all that I learned from her in Phase I and I am grateful for the time I spent with her. I just wish there could have been more...
